An invaluable education tool to study creek aquatic life

Captivate your audience with the sound and sight of flowing water combined with the flash of a fish, the intrigue of a crayfish, the grace of a mayfly or the speed of a scud.

You provide the rocks, stream water and aquatic organisms.

 

Great for middle schools, high schools or conservation events

Teach clearly and easily how runoff can affect life in local streams and rivers and the relationship between water quality and aquatic organisms. Show how silt can fill the rocky spaces of rivers-- destroying the homes and habitats of river animals.

Demonstrate aquatic insect life cycles: get hatches of midges, mayflies and caddisflies.

Learn aquatic organism behavior including nightly drift, shelter building and mating behavior.

      

Pictures of aquatic organisms have been cut out and identified with a dot for water quality, a great way to determine a biotic index. Notice the caddisfly attached to the plant in the first picture.
Submersible pump keeps water flowing - works great at events for bringing in a crowd to discuss water quality. Depending on building temperature and critter needs, most events do not need replenishment of creek organisms.

Display Specifics:

The fully assembled display is 48 inches long by 30 inches high by 15 inches wide.

Stored size of tanks is 48 inches long by six inches deep by ten inches tall - fits in most car's trunks or back seats.

Stand is made from 80/20 extruded aluminum, is very strong and light weight.

Bottom tank is 48 inches long, six inches wide and 6 inches tall
Middle tanks 47 inches long, four inches wide and 6 inches tall
Top tank 46 inches long, three inches wide and 6 inches tall

Different size of tanks allows for nesting when stored and changes the water velocity from tank to tank.

Also included: submersible pump, kwik klip, clear tubing, user manual, two down tubes, allen wrench, and  educational materials.

Not Included: rocks, creek water, aquatic organisms or lights
Aluminum stand is sent partially assembled.

However, you can adjust the angle of troughs to create fast or slow running creeks with the enclosed allen wrench.
